Higher council organises meeting on innovative policymaking

AMMAN — The Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST) has organised the first Global Innovation Policy Accelerator (GIPA) programme meeting in collaboration with the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA), the council said on Sunday.
NESTA and the HCST are partners in the GIPA programme, which aims to implement trainings to boost the comprehensive development and capacity of policymakers’ teams.
The meeting will target stakeholders and policymakers in Jordan to identify priority challenges for innovative policymaking in the Kingdom and focus on one or more of those challenges to come up with solutions.
The HCST is the national umbrella for all scientific, technological and innovation activities in the Kingdom and has been selected to develop the Kingdom’s innovation network, according to the statement.
