AMMAN — Temperatures on Sunday are expected to be 6ºC above their annual average of 26ºC for this time of the year, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Saturday.

As the Kingdom will be under the impact of an upper trough, the weather will be relatively hot and dry across the country and hot in the Dead Sea, Jordan Valley and Aqaba, a weather forecaster at the JMD said.

Temperatures during the day will be 32ºC, dropping to 17ºC at night in Amman, while winds will be southeasterly moderate, turning in the afternoon to southwesterly moderate to brisk and raising dust in the badia.

Cooler weather is forecast for Monday, when temperatures will drop to around their annual average during this time of the year, the meteorologist said, noting that pleasant spring weather is forecast.

Temperatures on Monday will be 28ºC during the day and 16ºC at night-time in Amman, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, changing in the afternoon to westerly brisk, which is expected to raise dust, especially in the badia, the meteorologist added.

Meanwhile, temperatures are expected to rise again on Tuesday above their annual average for this time of the year, according to the department, which said that the weather will be relatively hot across the country and hot in Dead Sea, Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
