AMMAN — India’s Ambassador to Jordan Anwar Haleem on Saturday attended the opening of the Jordanian-Indian Centre for Excellence in IT at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation.

Haleem, during the ceremony, commended the Kingdom's efforts towards enhancing technological advancement, noting that the new centre shows Jordan and India's keenness to keep abreast with emerging technology trends to serve the two nations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The centre, to be fully run by the HTU, will offer training for some 3,000 experts in the field of IT during the next five years. The centre, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, has been established in cooperation with the university and the C-DAC.
