PETRA — Culture Minister Lana Mamkegh inaugurated on Tuesday the activities of Indian Cultural Week, organised by the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority in cooperation with the Indian embassy.

The activities mark the 65th anniversary of Jordanian-Indian relations.

The cultural week includes events reflecting Indian folklore, such as concerts, plays and a photography exhibition of 100 images showing official visits between the two countries.

Mamkegh said the week is a good chance to get to know about the culture and traditions of both countries.

Indian Ambassador to Jordan Anil Trigunayat voiced his pride in cooperating with Petra to host the cultural event.
