Interior minister checks on Maan resident injured by ‘stray bullet’

AMMAN — Awad Abu Hilaleh, a community leader in Maan, has been hit by a “stray bullet” and is receiving treatment at the King Hussein Medical City, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Monday visited Abu Hilaleh and delivered Prime Minister Hani Mulki’s wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hammad was briefed by the medical cadres on Abu Hilaleh’s condition and said his ministry will continue fighting the phenomenon of celebratory gunfire, which he said has started to recede.
