Interior minister discusses anti-terrorism efforts with Arab counterparts

AMMAN — Interior Minister Hussein Majali has met separately with several of his Arab counterparts, on the sidelines of the 32nd session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, which concluded on Wednesday in Algeria.
Discussions with the Qatari, Kuwaiti, Lebanese, Tunisian, Egyptian and Iraqi interior ministers covered ways to fight extremist ideologies, and means to enhance economic and security cooperation.

Interior Minister Hussein Majali met separately with his Lebanese, Omani and Yemeni counterparts in Marrakesh, on the sidelines of the 31st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, which concluded on Wednesday.
Interior Minister Hussein Majali on Wednesday met with Prince Mohammad Bin Nayef Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, deputy crown prince, second deputy prime minister and the minister of interior of Saudi Arabia, who is also the honorary president of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
The Arab Interior Ministers Council recently decided to name Interior Minister Hussein Majali and Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani as members of the board of trustees for the Prince Nayef Award for Arab Security in their personal capacity.
