AMMAN — Sixty three Jordanian IT companies have started integrating artificial intelligence (AI) systems into their product development and services, according to a recent study released by the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (Int@j) on Saturday.

The study revealed that 42 per cent of companies have shown interest in incorporating data analytics tools and technologies into their product lines, which reflects their commitment to using big data to gain a better understanding of the market, enrich the customer experience and make informed decisions, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

NidalBitar, CEO of "int@j", emphasised that companies are prioritising the use of AI to enhance their capabilities across different sectors,  improve the quality of their services and develop new products that meet the evolving needs of the market.

About 36 per cent of companies have attached importance to strengthening cyber-security, Bitar said, highlighting the heightened awareness of protecting data and systems from cyber threats, especially in the midst of “significant” digital transformations.

He also noted that the study found that 19 per cent of companies are engaged in developing products and services that leverage the Internet of Things, responding to escalating market needs driven by the expansion of 5G networks.
