JAF to hold conference on terrorism

AMMAN — The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), through the Royal National Defence College, is scheduled to hold an international conference next Tuesday in cooperation with the US, on countering violent extremism.

The conference is expected to be attended by a number of Arab and international delegations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Specialists will address the overall frameworks of the field, and objectives and messages of the conference.

The event comes in light of the accelerating pace of extremism and its increasing use of social media to spread its ideologies.
