JBA embezzlement case under investigation

AMMAN — The Jordan Bar Association (JBA) on Tuesday said the prosecutor general’s office has begun investigating the embezzlement of JD257,000 from the JBA Health Insurance Fund.
The JBA council referred 10 persons involved in the case — including six JBA employees, three pharmacists and an accomplice — to the prosecutor general.
JBA President Samir Khirfan said the association managed to retrieve nearly half of the appropriated funds.
