AMMAN — President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Khalil Hajj Tawfiq has emphasised the importance of developing economic cooperation between the Jordanian and Saudi private sectors, calling for establishing a partnership between the JCC and the Council of Saudi Chambers.

During a meeting with Chairperson of Council of Saudi Chambers Hasan Al Huwaizi, on the sidelines of the 10th Arab-China Business Conference, Tawfiq highlighted the available promising opportunities and urged for expanding trade and investment cooperation. He mentioned that the bilateral trade volume reached JD3.73 billion last year, including JD840 million in Jordanian exports.

Tawfiq extended an invitation to the Saudi Chambers to participate in the upcoming Arab Businessmen and Investors Conference, scheduled to be hosted by the JCC next October, in collaboration with the Union of Arab Chambers and the Arab League.

Huwaizi emphasised the Saudi private sector's efforts in serving mutual interests and strengthening bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two kingdoms. He emphasised the importance of intensifying visits between business owners to address any obstacles hindering the growth of trade volume and to explore available opportunities and areas of cooperation.
