AMMAN — First Vice President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Jamal Rifai met with Panamanian ambassador to Jordan Jose Ulises Lescure to discuss methods to strengthen the economic and trade relations. The two parties also examined the role of chambers of commerce in this process.

According to a JCC statement released on Saturday, the two parties stressed the importance of devising a plan to enhance trade exchange and partnership between the two nations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

They also discussed sectors of mutual interest, such as seafood, Dead Sea products, pharmaceuticals, potash and phosphates.

During the meeting, both parties emphasised the need to organise a joint business forum and to prepare a study on exports, imports and sectors of mutual interest. Talks also went over the need to exchange information related to investment opportunities and to establish a joint Jordanian-Panamanian Business Council.
