Jerash police arrest hit and run suspect

AMMAN — A criminal investigation team at the Jerash Governorate Police Department on Wednesday arrested a driver who allegedly fled after running over a young man earlier this week, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
On Monday, the driver of a private vehicle allegedly ran over an 18-year-old man in the area of Bab Amman in Jerash before fleeing the scene.
The injured was transferred to Jerash Hospital and listed in critical condition. The suspect turned out to be a repeat offender, according to Petra.
