AMMAN — The British embassy on Wednesday highlighted its support to the communities hosting “huge” numbers of Syrian refugees.
International Development Secretary of State Justine Greening’s announcement to offer humanitarian assistance worth £100 million to Syrian refugees and hosting countries is part of the UK’s support to the Kingdom, the embassy said in a statement.
Supporting the different sectors in Jordan is important for the UK because if Jordan is unstable, then the UK is affected, the embassy added.
