AMMAN — Jordan on Wednesday denounced Israel's endorsement of a new law that would expand illegal settler units construction in East Jerusalem, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Minister of State for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat said that the newly-passed bill violated international law and would give the green light for more settler units to be erected in areas close to Al Aqsa Mosque, renewing Jordan's rejection of all Israeli measures seeking to impose new realities on the occupied Palestinian territories, including in East Jerusalem.
Ghunaimat also called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and prevent such unilateral Israeli measures, Petra said.
