Jordan condemns terrorist attack in Saudi Arabia

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday condemned the terrorist explosion that targeted a mosque in Saudi Arabia's Abha city which resulted in the death and injury of Saudi emergency forces personnel. 

King Abdullah sent a cable to Custodian of the Two Holy Shrines King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in which he strongly denounced such “coward terrorist acts”, stressing Jordan's solidarity with Saudi Arabia in countering terrorism and maintaining its security and stability, a Royal Court statement said.

The King also expressed his condolences and sympathy to King Salman and the Saudi people over the loss of life, wishing those injured a speedy recovery.

Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani, who is the government’s spokesperson, also denounced the terrorist explosion, reaffirming the Kingdom’s stand in support of Saudi Arabia against terrorist acts targeting its security and stability, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Momani, on behalf of the government, condoled the Saudi government and families of the martyrs for their losses, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

 

The Lower House condemned the bombing and affirmed Jordan’s support to Saudi Arabia in its efforts to fight terrorism , according to Petra.
