AMMAN (JT) — The government coordinates with all concerned authorities to deal comprehensively with the influx of Syrian refugees, Interior Minister Salameh Hammad said on Sunday.

At a meeting with UNHCR Representative to Jordan Andrew Harper, who will leave his post in Amman this month, Hammad said that Jordan has done and will continue to do all it can to provide help to Syrian refugees and alleviate their suffering, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The interior minister highlighted the Kingdom’s strategic relations with the UNHCR and its role in supporting refugees. For his part, Harper commended the government’s position and the support of the Jordanian people in dealing with the Syrian crisis.
