Jordan to host forum on reconstruction of war-torn countries

AMMAN – A global forum on reconstruction in the conflict-ravaged countries of Syria, Iraq and Yemen opens in Amman of Sunday with participation from Jordan and other Arab countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The three-day forum will tackle the reconstruction mechanism in each country in addition to a general session on the governance of reconstruction funds. Another session will be devoted to Jordanian contribution in reconstruction as well as holding the first Jordanian construction fair in which various Jordanian companies are taking part, Petra said.
Head of the preparatory committee, Mohamamd Halayqah, said the gathering is an opportunity to exchange views and expertise among Arab countries and to present Jordan's vision on the reconstruction process.
