Jordan, Lebanon ink deal to boost agricultural cooperation

AMMAN — Jordan and Lebanon on Friday signed an agreement to bolster agricultural exchange. Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Shahahdeh and his Lebanses counterpart Hassan Lakkis, who signed the agreement in Beirut, agreed on forming technical committees to boost cooperation in this arena, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministers affirmed the importance of enhancing export opportunities and protecting local products in both countries as well, in addition to removing obstacles facing the export and import of produce.
