Jordan, Palestine ambassadors discuss Israeli violations at Al Aqsa

AMMAN — Palestinian Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Fadi Al Hadmi on Sunday acquainted the Jordan’s Ambassador to Palestine Essam Al Bodour with the dangerous Israeli escalation in occupied Jerusalem and discussed the latest developments in the holy city.

During a Ramallah-held meeting, Hadmi said that Israeli escalations have hit all aspects of life in Jerusalem, noting that demolitions of houses and the implementation of settlement projects would undermine the two-state solution. He said that the occupation forces' escalation at Al Aqsa Mosque, through increasing incursions and the performance of Talmudic rituals, excavations, and Judaising the Buraq Wall and the Umayyad palaces, in addition to restricting the restoration operations carried out by the Islamic Awqaf Department in Jerusalem, is a serious violation of the legal and historical status quo at Al Aqsa Mosque.

He also commended the Kingdom's stances in support of Palestinians' rights, rejecting Israeli measures attempting to alter the Holy City's identity, stemming from the Hashemite Custodianship over Jerusalem's holy shrines, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
