Jordan, Qatar discuss cooperation in labour field

AMMAN — Labour Minister Nayef Istitieh on Tuesday in Doha met with First Deputy Chairman of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce Mohammed Al Kawwari over ties in the labour field.

Istitieh also referred to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani’s initiative to employ 20,000 Jordanians in Qatar, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The minister noted that the Jordanian delegation took note of the Qatari private sector’s interest in employing Jordanians, voicing keenness on cooperation between the ministry and the chamber to stimulate the Qatari private sector by hiring more Jordanians. Kawwari expressed the chamber's readiness to enhance cooperation with the Jordanian side in labour-related matters.
