AMMAN — The Kingdom has continued to progress on the Global Law and Order Index, ranking second at the regional level and 16th at the international level.

Jordan has achieved a “big leap” on the report issued by Gallup's Global Law and Order Research Centre, which is among the world’s leading centres to monitor the level of safety, security, rule of law, confidence in security apparatuses and their ability to enforce the law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Kingdom’s ranking improved from fifth to second among Arab countries and from 34th to 16th globally. Jordan now tops countries such as Sweden, Germany and the US, on the list that included 115 countries in the 2021 report.

Norway topped the international indicator scoring 94 out of 100 points, while the UAE maintained its rank as second at the international level with 93 points, and Jordan gathered 89 points.

Venezuela was last on the list, scoring only 53 points.
