Jordan, Saudi Arabia discuss projected anti-taxation deal

AMMAN — Jordan and Saudi Arabia on Sunday started the fourth phase of discussions to prevent double taxation between the two countries, with the aim of signing an agreement to that effect, according to the Income and Sales Tax Department.
A Saudi delegation, headed by director general of the zakat and income department Fahed Al Kharashi, met with Iyad Qudah, director general of the Income and Sales Tax Department, and discussed the issue.
Qudah praised the Saudi interest in signing an anti-double taxation deal to encourage investment flows and reduce tax burdens on investors.
