Jordan signs charter flight agreements on sidelines of Berlin tourism fair

AMMAN — Tourism Minister Makram Qaisi attended the signing of two new agreements for charter flights from Poland and Bulgaria, which will carry 4,020 tourists to Jordan, on the sidelines of the Berlin International Tourism Fair (ITB Berlin), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat and Jordan’s Ambassador to Germany Yousef Bataineb attended the event.

Four other charter flight agreements were also signed, targeting a variety of countries, including Bulgaria, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and several other countries, with the expected number of flights reaching 57, carrying 10,000 tourists to Aqaba.

Qaisi stressed the importance of signing these agreements to bolster tourism to the Kingdom, stressing the JTB’s keenness to support charter flights through tourist incentives and facilities.

JTB Director General Abdulrazzaq Arabiyat lauded the signing of agreements to serve the Kingdom's tourism sector. He noted that tourism to Jordan is witnessing “a positive transformation”, highlighting partnerships that were established to promote tourism to the Kingdom.
