Jordan, UK discuss region, anti-terror efforts

LONDON — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and UK’s Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on Wednesday reviewed aspects of cooperation to face mutual challenges.
Discussions also addressed regional conditions, especially anti-terror efforts, and covered Middle East peace and the need to eliminate all obstacles precluding negotiations.
The two diplomats also reviewed the conditions in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Yemen, stressing the need to arrive at political solutions there.
Hammond stressed his country’s support for Jordan and its efforts to achieve security and stability in the region and confront terrorism, highlighting Britain’s keenness on maintaining coordination with Jordan.
