AMMAN — The Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem, all Palestine and Jordan, and head of the Council of Church in Jordan, Theophilos III, on Tuesday said he valued the initiative of the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) that dispatched the first Christian pilgrimage convoy to visit the Christian holy sites in Palestine.

“This noble gesture has always been the approach of JAF and represents a new heroic stand, as it indicates the high moral and brotherly love between Muslims and Christian Jordanians,” Theophilos said. The Patriarch stressed in a statement, carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra on Tuesday that this convoy is a manifest embodiment of the harmony between the religions, brotherhood and coexistence, as called for by His Majesty King Abdullah.
