Jordan’s trade balance deficit wth GAFTA countries up by 45.9% in 1st half of 2021 — DoS

AMMAN — The Kingdom’s trade balance deficit with the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) increased by 45.9 per cent to some JD748 million in the first half of 2021 compared with JD512.4 million in the same period of 2020, the Department of Statistics (DoS) said on Thursday.

National exports to the GAFTA countries in the January-June period of 2021 decreased by 18.7 per cent to JD1.076 billion compared with the same period of 2020, which reached JD907.6 million, according to the DoS as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
