AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh delivered a keynote speech at the 15th Arab Media Forum in Dubai this week, highlighting the importance of having a “humanitarian media discourse” in the Arab world.

Judeh spoke about a number of issues pertaining to regional developments and crises and the roles media outlets are expected to play towards these issues, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday. “Media has to play a role in countering terrorism and extremism,” he said.

The Arab Media Forum 2016 is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre with the theme of Media for Good. More than 2,000 delegates from the region and the world are participating in the event, according to Petra.
