AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah will participate in the NATO summit, hosted by the UK on September 4-5.
The summit represents a chance for presidents of NATO member states to meet and consult on global challenges, a Royal Court statement said.
Jordan enjoys advanced partnership with NATO through several agreements, and is regarded a partner for the alliance in boosting peace, security and international stability.
On the sidelines of the summit, which will be attended by around 60 heads of state, the King will meet with several key international figures and leaders on ways to enhance bilateral ties.
During his stay in London, the King and British Prime Minister David Cameron will hold talks that will address relations between the two countries, and the latest regional and global developments, according to the Royal Court.
The King will also meet several members of British Parliament committees, along with British intellectual and political leaders, the statement said.
