King congratulates Iranian leader, president on Nowruz occasion

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday sent a cable to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on the occasion of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, according to a Royal Court statement.

The King expressed his best wishes to the Iranian people. Nowruz marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the year in the Persian calendar.
