King congratulates Johnson on British PM appointment

Amman — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday sent a cable to Boris Johnson, congratulating him on his appointment as the prime minister of the United Kingdom, according to a Royal Court statement.

In the cable, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan’s keenness to build on its strategic and historical ties with the United Kingdom, in the best interest of the two peoples and in service of peace and stability in the region and the world.

His Majesty wished Prime Minister Johnson success in his term, and the people of the United Kingdom continued prosperity and progress.
