King congratulates Sri Lanka president on inauguration

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has sent a cable to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa of Sri Lanka, congratulating him on assuming his term.
In the cable, King Abdullah expressed keenness to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between Jordan and Sri Lanka, wishing President Rajapaksa success and the people of Sri Lanka further prosperity and progress, according to a Royal Court statement.
