King directs gov’t to mitigate economic hardship of veterans

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah has instructed the government to alleviate the financial burdens of retired military personnel and find tangible solutions to improve their living conditions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a tweet on Thursday, King Abdullah said: “Improving the living conditions of retired military personnel is a priority for me.
After being briefed on discussions between their representatives and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, I have instructed the government to work on alleviating their financial burdens and finding tangible solutions to improve their living conditions despite economic conditions and pressures on the public budget.”
