King, Queen start state visit to Belgium

AMMAN — Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Tuesday arrived in Brussels for a several-day state visit upon an invitation from King Philippe of Belgium, according to a Royal Court statement. 

The visit includes functions in Brussels and the cities of Leuven, Bruges, Zeebrugge and Florennes.

His Majesty is scheduled to hold talks with King Philippe, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel and senior officials. 

The King is accompanied by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, Senate President Faisal Fayez, Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh, Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh, King's Office Director Jafar Hassan, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Imad Fakhoury and the Jordanian Ambassador in Brussels Yousef Batayneh.  

 

HRH Prince Feisal was sworn in as Regent.
