Kingdom to switch to wintertime October 25

By JT - Oct 21,2019 - Last updated at Oct 21,2019

AMMAN — Jordan will set clocks back by one hour on October 25 in preparation for winter, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Clocks are to be set back by 60 minutes as of 1am on October 25, bringing the Kingdom two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.

Under a Cabinet decision made in December 2013, clocks are set back to mark the start of winter on the last Friday of October every year, and are set forward one hour on the last Thursday of March every year to mark the start of summer and to utilise the longer daylight hours to save energy.
