AMMAN — The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Jordan Office, in collaboration with KAAJ (KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan), conducted a knowledge-sharing seminar on Thursday.

The seminar focused on “Change Management in E-Government in the Ministry of Education (MOE)” and various topics related to digital transformation and artificial intelligence in education, according to a KOICA statement.

This seminar aimed to disseminate the knowledge and lessons learned from the KOICA online training programme titled “Change Management in E-Government in MOE” which took place in 2021 with the participation of 21 officials from the Ministry of Education.

The seminar featured a number of discussion sessions over the implications of AI and e-government systems.

The topics chosen have significant importance in the current educational landscape and are expected to benefit the attendees and contribute to the advancement of education in Jordan, the statement said.

More than 50 participants from various government institutions, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and Balqa Applied University, attended the seminar.

Since 1991, KOICA has been providing training programmes to Jordan as part of its CIAT (Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow) programme, aimed at enhancing human resource capacity for the country’s socio-economic development.

Over 900 Jordanian officials have participated in training programmes in Korea to date. In 2023, around 50 new participants are expected to take part in training programmes in Korea.
