Kreishan participates in UN Public Service Forum in Dubai

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Local Administration Minister Tawfiq Kreishan on Tuesday participated in the UN Public Service Forum and Awards, which started in Dubai on Monday.
On the sidelines of the event, co-organised by the UN and the UAE Ministry of Government Development and the Future, Kreishan said that the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence, which is the most prestigious award at the national level, aims to spread and develop a “culture of excellence” in the public and private sectors.
The minister said that the government, through its strategies and plans, seeks to develop the performance of the public sector until it can reach a future of providing high quality services, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He noted that the Ideal Employee Award, supervised by the Civil Service Bureau, seeks to instill a “culture of excellence” among public sector employees, encourage initiative and innovation, and develop their skills and knowledge to utilise them as positive tools to increase productivity and work efficiency.
