By-law regulating use of explosives published in Official Gazette

AMMAN — The 2015 by-law regulating the use of explosives has been published in the Official Gazette, under which there will be three major warehouses to store them in the northern, southern and central regions under the supervision of the Public Security Department.

Under the by-law, these warehouses should be located away from residential areas and main roads and should comply with national building codes.

As stipulated in the by-law, an inspection committee — comprising representatives of the ministries of interior, public works and industry, in addition to security agencies — will set the specifications for designing and building of the warehouses.
