AMMAN — The Greater Mafraq Municipality on Wednesday signed an agreement with the Hungarian Orient River Company to establish investment projects worth JD50 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The projects include building a trade estate, an indoor amusement park, two industrial and handicrafts estates, livestock and vehicles markets, and an employee’s housing.

Mafraq Mayor Amer Dughmi said that the agreement is a “qualitative leap” in attracting investments to the area. For his part, deputy Hungarian ambassador in Jordan István Mezei stressed his country’s keenness on building partnerships between the municipality and Hungarian companies.
