Man who allegedly stole JD50,000 from vehicle in Irbid arrested

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel on Tuesday arrested an individual who allegedly stole JD50,000 from a vehicle.

According to the Public Security Directorate's spokesperson, a complaint was filed on Monday by an individual who reported the loss of JD50,000 from his private vehicle in Irbid, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The spokesperson said the suspect was arrested with most of the stolen money in his possession.

The PSD emphasised the importance of not leaving large sums of money in vehicles under any circumstances and warned against considering a vehicle as a safe place to store or leave money to prevent theft and fraud.
