The agreement, signed by Minister of Education Azmi Mahafzah and IB Director General Olli-Pekka Heinonen aims to pave the way for the King Abdullah II Schools of Excellence to implement IB programmes, starting with the IB Diploma, as well as also to offer training opportunities for the ministry staff and explore joint initiatives between IB private schools and government schools.

It also seeks to identify common interests or projects that can contribute to the advancement of Jordan's education sector, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
