AQABA — Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Chief Commissioner Hani Mulki on Tuesday met with hotel managers in the city and discussed means to reduce room rates in accordance with government directives after lowering electricity prices for the hotel sector.

Mulki called on hotels to prepare special programmes for Ramadan aimed at increasing occupancy.

He also expressed ASEZA’s readiness to cooperate with the transport sector and raise the number of Royal Jordanian flights between Amman and Aqaba during Ramadan. Attendees decided to start preparing a special programme for Ramadan with the participation of hotels and tourist facilities.
