AMMAN — In the presence of Their Royal Highnesses Princess Wijdan and Princess Dana Firas, Culture Minister Haifa Najjar on Sunday delivered a lecture titled “Culture, National Identity and the Digital World: Where To?” During the lecture moderated by Head of the Jordanian Lebanese Association Samia Mango, in the presence of Lebanese Ambassador to Jordan Yousef Raji, Najjar highlighted the cultural and spiritual dimensions on which “the Jordanian cultural project” is based.
She stressed that culture cannot exist in isolation from education, and achieving that requires adding philosophy and music back into the curricula.
Similarly, she said that culture cannot be separated from agriculture because of its great role in deepening the values of production, giving, dialogue and cooperation, adding that culture needs to grow in a green environment. In regard to employing technology in cultural projects, she underlined the need to shift towards digitisation, artificial intelligence and innovation in cultural industries.
