AMMAN — No new UN aid convoys have crossed into Syria from Jordan’s Ramtha Border Crossing as of Sunday other than last Wednesday’s shipment, according to Ramtha Governor Bader Al Qadi.

“A new aid shipment is expected to go to Syria before August 20,” he added.

Qadi noted that the Ramtha border crossing was reopened only to allow the passage of the UN humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people, adding that no passenger or cargo movement is allowed through.
