AMMAN — Interior Minister Samir Mubaidin on Monday briefed the Cabinet on the number of foreign patients who entered the Kingdom last month, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a Cabinet session, headed by Prime Minister Hani Mulki, Mubaidin said that the number of patients increased by 20 per cent between March 20 and April 20 compared with the same period of last year.
The patients came from several countries including Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Djibouti, and Chad. Earlier this year, the government decided to allow patients and their chaperones — of restricted nationalities — to enter Jordan to enhance the medical tourism sector in the Kingdom.
