AMMAN — The official website of HRH Crown Prince Hussein was launched Sunday, marking his 21st birthday.

The website (www.alhussein.jo) has both Arabic and English sections, and aims to provide an electronic and up-to-date platform on the Crown Prince’s local and international activities, according to a Royal Court statement.

It also serves as a reference point for his speeches, op-eds and initiatives.

The website features the Hashemite Family Tree, illustrating Crown Prince Hussein’s direct lineage from the Arab Chieftain Quraysh as the 42nd-generation direct descendant of Prophet Mohammad.

The website is branded with the Crown Prince’s flag: a Royal Standard consisting of segmented rays of black, white, and green bands that are connected by a white seven-pointed star encompassing a silver crown, the statement said.

A more elaborate description of the historic connotations for the flag is available on the website.

“The multimedia rich” website has a newsroom with regular updates and a photo gallery reflecting Crown Prince Hussein’s career and activities. It also showcases his official Instagram account and YouTube page.

The Crown Prince is the patron of several socially driven initiatives related to sports, education, youth empowerment and employment as well as providing specialised care for certain segments of society, particularly people with hearing disabilities.

More information on the Crown Prince’s key initiatives, Hearing without Borders, Haqiq and Qusai are available on the website, in addition to details on the collaboration programme between Jordan and NASA Ames Research Centre, providing internships for Jordanians interested in pursuing a career in technology.

The website has a testimonials section with stories of beneficiaries from the Crown Prince’s ongoing initiatives.

Also on the occasion of his birthday on Sunday, Crown Prince Hussein, the Regent, received cables of well wishes from senior officials and officers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
