AMMAN — The two Houses of Parliament on Thursday denounced the Israeli occupation forces’ killing of Palestinian minister Ziad Abu Ein.
In separate statements, the two Houses called on the international community to press for an immediate halt to provocative Israeli measures and “barbaric assaults” against Palestinian civilians.
The Senate said the killing of Abu Ein and the Israeli crackdown on peaceful protesters came at the time the world was celebrating Human Rights Day, calling on Palestinians to unite to face Israel’s aggression.
In its statement, the Lower House described Israel’s killing of Abu Ein as “state terrorism”, warning against the consequences of Israel’s unilateral measures on the stability and security of the region.
Also on Thursday, the Jordan Press Association issued a similar statement, condemning the assassination of Abu Ein.
