Petra tourism chief, Japan ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Chief Commissioner of the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority Suleiman Farajat on Thursday met with the Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Hidenao Yanagi on the sidelines of the Petra Museum’s inauguration by HRH Crown Prince Hussein.

In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Farajat expressed his appreciation of Japan’s role, through the Japan International Cooperation Agency, in supporting the project.

He added that the Petra Museum has been built with the most up-to-date architectural and engineering designs with the goal of putting on display Nabataean culture and heritage.
