AMMAN — The Planning and International Cooperation Ministry on Tuesday approved financing 83 productive projects for military retirees as part of a series of projects to enhance economic and social productivity, implemented in cooperation with the Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans.

Planning and International Cooperation Minister Wissam Rabadi said that this is the second batch this year within the lending portfolio that was designed by the ministry to finance and implement small productive schemes for retired servicemen, according to a ministry statement.

The portfolio has allocated some JD3 million to implement projects in the 2018-2020 period, the minister noted. Rabadi said that the ministry has so far funded 524 projects nationwide and is scheduled to finance 226 new ventures by the yearend, where the total projects of 750 are envisioned to provide at least 1,300 jobs for retired servicemen across the Kingdom.
