PM meets with members of Renewal bloc

AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Tuesday met with members of the Lower House’s Renewal bloc, headed by MP Mifleh Khazaaleh. The meeting aimed at exchanging views between the bloc and government over local issues, especially economic conditions and the income and sales taxes, Khazaaleh said, as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
He highlighted the importance of addressing tax evasion and enhancing the rule of law. Mulki said that the government has started holding meetings with all stakeholders to identify financial and economic challenges facing the Kingdom and means to find solutions to these issues. The premier noted that government procedures contributed to stabilising the debt-GDP ratio.
