AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Wednesday said the government is taking all the necessary measures to implement decentralisation, adding that Jordan will continue to carry out reforms in all fields.
During a visit to the Interior Ministry, where he met Minister Salameh Hammad, Mulki called for enhancing the ministry's procedures in security, administration and development to meet international standards, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Hammad said that regional conditions surrounding the Kingdom place additional pressure on security and the economy.
As for preparations for the September 20 parliamentary elections, he said the ministry, through the public security and gendarmerie departments, has prepared a security plan to guarantee smooth and trouble-free polls, according to Petra.
